  SUGARPLUM ZOO RULES
 
• Respect the animals and their enclosures, this is their home, they are used to being spoiled and they are happy here.
 
• NO running or horseplay at any time. The animals will get stressed and could create a safety hazard for our workers.
 
• NO Dogs allowed in the Zoo. If you have a dog with you it is allowed on the patio. Taking your dog into the zoo will scare the animals and put workers in danger.
 
• DO NOT yell at, taunt, or pick on the animals.
 
• DO NOT bang or climb on enclosures.
 
• DO NOT feed any animals any hay.
 
• Throw away your own trash, including feed bags, the animals can/will eat them and will make them very sick.
 
• DO NOT throw anything into the enclosures or at the animals.
 
• DO NOT put your fingers in the bird enclosures.
 
• ONLY feed the animals in pens 1, 2, 5 and 7.
 
• You may go into the tortoise on pen on weekdays if he is out of his house and active. Do not harass him if he’s relaxing in his house. Be mindful of the enclosure door and don’t let out the sheep. Latch the door when you leave.
 
CAUTION: Use caution and awareness when petting and interacting with all animals, some animals are very large, and some have horns. Always be cautious of animals with horns and don’t get your hand/arm stuck in between an animal and their pen.
 
• We have 2 free roaming pigs. You can pet them, just be respectful and don’t feed them.
 
• If you bring a salt lick to the animals, please put it back in the red crate when you are done.
 
• Keep fingers out of bird enclosures.
 
• Have a great time and don’t forget your chocolate sample!
